  1. the quality or state of being healthy in body and mind, especially as the result of deliberate effort.
  2. an approach to healthcare that emphasizes preventing illness and prolonging life, as opposed to emphasizing 
    treating diseases.

Wellness and the Holistic Model

Wellness is the choice we make to have a positive approach to life. -In order to maintain and pursue a life of health, we aim to live a balanced & positive life, and thus sustain our wellness. Living a life of wellness is holistic, addressing various facets. -Often summarized as mind-body-spirit/soul.

As your corporate Wellness Educator and/or Consultant, your leadership and team(s) will begin to recognize areas of strengths and identifying weaknesses, as it relates to understanding of thoughts, feelings, actions, health, and well-being. Through activities in mindfulness, yoga, creative expression (writing, drawing, movement, etc.), team building, and/or emotional intelligence techniques, you/your staff will feel supported in beginning to address health and wellness holistically. Introducing effective and simple self-care strategies, for integration into the day-to-day, I can assist your company in understanding and addressing all domains of wellness and creating a life that is more full and ultimately healthy.

I offer a variety of single workshops, training packages, and consulting services for Workplace Wellness initiatives.

  • Workshops and trainings focus on stress management, self-care, and burnout prevention, through mindfulness, meditation, stretching, creativity, interactive team building, and yoga.
  • Consulting services include assessment of employee interest, engagement, and need. In addition, I provide individual, small, and large group sessions to discuss (and/or engage in): mental well-being, fitness and physical activities, team collaboration and support, and nutrition.

Benefits of a Workplace Wellness series:

  • Progressive increase in employee knowledge and application of techniques, thus reducing workplace stress and burnout.
  • Stress is linked to physical and emotional well-being (weight, nutrition, fitness), therefore a decrease in stress level can lead to reduced medical need, incidents, and illness, including: blood pressure, obesity, mental illness, and substance related issues.
